Hello and Welcome!

I am a ballet teacher and an award-winning choreographer with over 30 years of experience, first with my own ballet school and pre-professional company and then with a larger professional organization. During the pandemic, I turned to blogging as a creative outlet, the results of which, “Thoughts in Movement,” are shared on this site. There is a similar journey that each of these endeavors – teaching, choreographing, writing – takes. From the smallest student to the most accomplished professional ballet dancer, from a spark of inspiration to a finished work of dance art on stage, from the germ of an idea to a polished article – these are all processes that involve transformation in the direction of growth and excellence.
